The information we collect and how we use it
If you order a book or a service from us we need to know your full name, postal address, e-mail address, shipping address and telephone number. We gather this information to allow us to process your order/subscription/service, process any orders you may make and deal with your payment. The relevant information is then used by us or our agents to provide you with the product you ordered or statements of your account and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the conduct of your account and the provision of our service to you in general.
We may also use aggregated information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregated information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify you as an individual.

Every user can have an account which is protected by ID or Customer number and password verification. We store account information in a secure fashion and our support staff do not have access to this information. If you choose not to have an account, your details are still secure.

We may use it for research or to improve our site and the services we offer you, check the user’s qualifications for registration, or to bill the user for products or services. We will ask you if you want us to use the information you provide to continue contact with you either via e-mail or postal mail (for example, to send you information or special offers, or for other marketing purposes). – All customer accounts are protected by your ID or customer number and postcode.
However, it is your (the customer’s) responsibility to:-
1 Protect against any unauthorised access to your personal registration details
2 Log off from the registered users only area of the website when not using your machine
3 Ensure against other users accessing the registered users area of the website via your machine while you are logged into the registered users area of the website

Updating your details
If any of the information that you have provided to Mereo Books changes, for example if you change your e-mail address, name or payment details or if you wish to cancel your registration, please let us know the up to date information by updating your details on our website by going to Author login on the home page, log in and change your details.
